A vibrant collage featuring a cityscape with modern architecture and a woman in a hammock reading, surrounded by colorful illustrations including tulips, strawberries, and a hamster. Notable elements include the Stanford banner, Oscar Wilde quote, and planetary sculptures in a plaza.

I’m an engineer, artist, and designer crafting thoughtful technologies that reflect the complexity of the human lived experience.

Design for the brain.

Build for the heart.

🌿 About Evelyn Song

I’m Evelyn — a technologist, writer, and founder-in-progress who self-designed my degree in Computer Science, Product Design, and Psychology at Stanford, minoring in Human Biology. My work lives at the intersection of human-centered AI, neuroscience, and mental health, where I build tools that are as emotionally aware as they are technically robust.

From developing brain-based predictors of antidepressant response to testing the safety of therapy chatbots, I’m driven by one question: How can technology better understand the human mind?

I’ve worked in pediatric psychiatry, shadowed brain surgeries, and designed products for well-being. Through it all, I stay grounded in empathy, creativity, and a belief that innovation should feel human.

I’m also the first ever peer advisor for Stanford University’s self-designed major!

When I’m not building, I travel in search of good matcha and crepes, explore emotional design, and document my startup journey — all in pursuit of a more thoughtful digital future.
